I am a huge Fan of Deadmau5 show but unfortunately On Dec. 30,I attended the Deadmau5 show at the Shaw Conference Centre. My brother was also along with me who’s is also a big fan of Deadmau5 show.I have attended several show but i never saw such disorganization with admitting patrons into the building.

We arrived there at at 8 p.m,show started at 7 p.m,and almost one hour we waited in line in -20 C.The crowd waiting were being physically pulled inside the building by the four security officers through one open door, 10 at a time

When i was finally pulled inside i was shocked to see that to find no backlog of people inside.Once inside, things moved relatively quickly downstairs with ticketing, coat check and random pat-downs.

It is very disappointing to leave hundreds of fans outside in cold weather for such a long period of time, while the show they paid to see continued inside.

Deadmau5 has confirmed a special one off after show party in Glasgow on December 17th.

When did Deadmau5 get so big? The Canadian producer is renowned for his blistering electro-house beats and extravagant headwear, but it seems that over the past 12 month the beatsmith has conquered British audiences.

True stadium house for the electro generation, deadmau5 offends the purists and gets kids dancing. Set to kick off one of the year’s biggest dance tours, the Canadian producer has added a lavish after show party.

deadmau5 is due to play Glasgow’s Braehead arena on December 17th, with fans able to keep the party going. Set to be broadcast live on Radio 1, the after show takes place at the city’s O2 Academy.

Joining the producer at the lavish party will be Glasgow based DJ Calvin Harris. No stranger to lavish tours himself, Calvin Harris will be forced to play second fiddle to the Mouse Mask clad Canadian.

Elsewhere, Annie Mac will play a DJ set while Radio 1 compatriot Zane Lowe will also man the wheels of steel. Broadcast live on the station, dubstep pair Skream and Benga are set to play a joint set.

It’s been a massive year for the pair, who have matched solo material with the enormous success of Magnetic Man. Skream and Benga are part of a bill which is completed by UNION.

Tickets for the aftershow party are now on sale.

Deadmau5 is due to play:

Leeds O2 Academy
10 Manchester Central
11 Coventry Ricoh

Deadmau5 Reveals Album Artwork And Tracklisting

Anyone that attended a deadmau5 show this year would have experienced electrifying live renderings of material from his third production compilation album 4×4=12, due out December 6 on Virgin Records.

The Guardian said of the live show… “With respect to Kraftwerk and Daft Punk, this must be among the most visually spectacular shows in dance music history.” Whilst The Observer said… “It’s the personality DJ turned into sermonising sensationalist, the decks turned into hi-tech pulpit, the performer mutating into pure illusion, a new commercial art form emerging from the smoking ruins of pop history “.

Performing in front of hundreds of thousands at major festivals and venues across the globe including Brixton Academy (3 consecutive nights), Creamfields and Cream (Amnesia), Ibiza to name a few, electronic music’s most talked-about artist and producer unveiled a wide range of new songs to accompany his roof-raising visual show.

The album’s next single “Sofi Needs A Ladder,” featuring spunky delivery by vocalist Sofi, made its live debut this past March at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami where deadmau5 was joined by Sofi and iconic drummer Tommy Lee in front of 50,000 fans. Virgin Records will make it available on Oct 31st. Other highlights from the album include “One Trick Pony” which Sofi also appears on and the Michael Woods remix of “I Said,” a deadmau5 collaboration with U.K. DJ/producer Chris Lake.

The MTV Video Music Awards were saluted by the likes of party girl Ke$ha, daring rapper B.o.B, hip-hop cat Deadmau5 and a “Jersey Shore” duo at a series of soirees held along the Sunset Strip on the eve of Sunday’s big show downtown at the Nokia Theatre, where Lady Gaga and Eminem are poised to win multiple moonman trophies.

Partygoers kicked off Saturday evening with rounds of pingpong at Spin magazine’s pre-VMA party inside the chic Mondrian Hotel. Dan Black, the lanky British musician nominated for two moonman trophies for his video for “Symphonies,” served as guest DJ while wayward pingpong balls sporadically tapped across the hotel floor between attendees’ legs.

Next door at the House of Blues, Ke$ha started the party with a raucous concert benefiting Lifebeat, the music industry organization promoting HIV and AIDS awareness. She strutted across the stage in glittery hot pants and gold face paint, later donning long fuzzy animal hats with her band and back-up singers for “Your Love is My Drug.”

Ke$ha ended her performance with her hit “Tik Tok” as she attempted to smash a pinata while confetti rained down on the crowd. Afterward, as stagehands prepared for a performance from B.o.B., concertgoers watched — and some played — “Dance Central,” an upcoming groovy Xbox 360 choreography game that uses a camera to detect players’ hip-hop moves.

Farther away at a sleek mansion in the Hollywood Hills overlooking a cloud-covered Los Angeles, hundreds of revelers crowded around Deadmau5 inside the transformed V-Moda Fortress. The showy DJ, who will be performing with the likes of Jason Derulo and Robyn at Sunday’s show, only occasionally donned his iconic mouse headgear at the packed party.

Dancers clad in itty-bitty black bikinis swayed their hips atop a nearby pool table while chefs cooked crepes in the kitchen. Paul “DJ Pauly D” Del Vecchio and Vinny Guadagnino from “Jersey Shore” held court outside the party. At one point during the evening, Del Vecchio chatted up DJ Paul Oakenfold, proving anything is possible when the VMAs are in town.

The sequel to the original DJ Hero, which brought the technology of Guitar Hero to electronic and hip-hop fans everywhere, is set to drop later this fall, with Dr. Dre, the Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, Metallica, Lady Gaga and a whole slew of other artists all contributing songs to the game’s playlist. On top of that, Toronto, ON DJ Deadmau5 is featured as a playable character.
As tech website T3 reports, DJ Hero 2 will come with not one, but two turntables and, ahem, a microphone. The added peripherals will facilitate multiplayer DJ battles, as well as a “jump in, jump out” mode that allows players to join play whenever they please.
The microphone will allow you to rap your heart out, or, if you’re no MC, at least call out things like, “Are you feeling this, (insert city of residence here)?!”
The game will include 70 new tracks from the aforementioned artists, with a mash-up of Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” and Deadmau5’s “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff” available now for owners of the first DJ Hero.

As tempting as it sometimes is to dismiss trancey dance-type music as a shortcut to mindless euphoria, a state of dancefloor-only total excitement, which is scientifically designed to be reached via the simplest of possible means – hi Basshunter! – there’s a growing body of musical evidence which proves that other emotions can be found within its glassy crevices.

Take exhibit A here. A straight-from-the-bottom-of-the-freezer shard of spooky mournfulness which would only be suitable to play as a triumphant party tune if it was Casper the Friendly Ghost’s birthday and he’d invited the unfriendly ghosts along in an effort to be, y’know…friendly.

And to give the whole thing even more clout, there’s a video (available on Deadmau5′s site), which, with the help of an amazingly charismatic performance from Stephen Graham, transforms a wafty chillout into a kind of rave call to arms.

It’s as if this melancholy, smoky puffball is actually a requiem for lost youth culture, which you’ll have to admit, is approximately 10 bazillion miles away from those bendy-over girls in the Eric Prydz videos, and closer in spirit to something like ‘Ghost Town’ by the Specials.

The good news is it even works without Stephen’s terrifying stare egging you on. In fact, if you had a playlist of this, followed by ‘Unite’ by Burial, something off the last Portishead album and ‘Teardrop’ by Massive Attack (but NOT any of the acoustic cover versions, which are too nice by half), you’d might end up disappearing into a parallel world, where up is down, the undead roam the streets and Eoghan Quigg is quite good.

Terrifying thought, mm?
